So, just to be sure, it's Thicke who's sounding like the d ick, and not the author?

On the contrary, it IS very surprising coming from Don. That's the whole point!

Then how do you interpret the "Leonard" scene, with Merliman's interp? Sounds like you hate "Don".

Good point. The "Leonard" scene seemed to indicate that, along with Peggy's words…

Totally. Fits right in with his M.O throughout the whole series of how he created his masterpieces…

For Don, yes, it is. And I see more evidence to support mine. But as you say, we disagree…

Very good interpretation. My feeling all along is that he had nothing to be ashamed of, whereas the underlying implication all along is that he should have.

WEll, the answer is, as has been proven throughout the series, is that it can.

I'm not referring to the redemptive aspect, but Cousin Oliver's assertion MW was mocking DD…I DO agree with his redemptive bit though

No, "The Smile" contradicts your interpretation that MW was "mocking" him, and confirms Teti's that it was the New Beginning for Don…

Second that

Coke; And is Bill Backer the real Don Draper?

Same here. Other reviews seemed to contradict my own interpretations, which turned out were correct. These one's have nailed it.

Totally…

I dunno. I'm New Brunswick French (Acadian) and thought accent aside, Julia was perfect in the role.

The Parisian French accent was a bit lame. Anyone who's ever heard a Quebecer speak recognized this.

It is. It's an "Old World" French, as opposed to modern, Euro French. Comparable to Olde English.

Fell asleep waiting for this fantastic review. Thanks, J.T, your insights have been great.
