Loved how Hannah never really explicitly resolved the huge fights with Loreen and Marnie. She just kind of quietly sits down with them, and they let her. I thought that was a lovely, subtle moment. Kind of summarized what I loved about the series. A lot of people gave this show shit because more often than not it

YES! I was wondering if I imagined that or something. But I just went back and re-watched it, and Abigail was definitely uncomfortable with Ed's arm around her. Again, I don't think this is simply a matter of Ed being socially awkward. He actively makes Abigail tense and uncomfortable. I don't know why they added this

Fair enough! I suppose that what works in the book would probably come off as contrived on screen. More than that though, I'm not sure if Zoe Kravitz would have the acting chops to pull it off.

That's absolutely true, I just think that backstory would help Bonnie, who's pretty underdeveloped as a character compared to all the other women in the mom clique at the end.

Definitely better as a miniseries. I have no interest in whatever police investigation they were hinting at at the end there with the binoculars. Leave those women alone!

I should also add that in the book, Ed is the only decent guy besides Tom. So to add those creepy touches in the series, it just doesn't make any sense.

A complete show invention! In fact, it was one of the only massive diversions from the book (besides Madeline's affair) which made it all the more conspicuous. I was waiting the whole series for the other shoe to drop re:Ed. But I guess it was just a character decision on Adam Scott's part?

The last five minutes of the episode were brutal and effective, but I do wish they had explicitly revealed Bonnie's abusive past somehow. When I read the book, Bonnie seemed like kind of a random choice for the murderer, until her baggage was explained. But with all the wordless scenes I dunno how they could've fit

i know this sounds like a huge stretch, but could Ed be involved with Abigail's secret project?
we've seen Ed acting pretty fucking creepy towards Abigail (leering at her, etc), and Nathan mentions that Abigail's website is "professionally done," and Ed is a web designer. sounds insane but i think there's something
