I think old man Frey told Jaime Lannister he was back in his cell in The Winds of Winter finale? Perhaps they will mention Edmure again at some point.

The Arya cold opening was certainly an almost "drop the mic" moment.
They went to great lengths to make the roads and the realm so unsafe, but then again there was more open warfare. There was more also more detail in the early seasons. I also think they have been cutting more corners, like how did Arya heal from…

Here's a question: Wonder what happened to Edmure Tully and if Arya or someone let him out?
I guess technically there is no open war yet. They were Lannister soldiers, no? No, I interpreted they were just young boys who were cold, lonely, and far from home under orders. But still.
Actually, I just posted a more descriptive version of the same question. Meticulously autopsying Walder Frey's face off would take time, and some privacy, as well as the preparation of copious amounts of poison, and you would think there would be guards and soldiers about. I kind of think they just did it that way…
Hmmm. If only there were some way for her to disguise herself as other people so she could sneak around easier. ;)
Don't get me wrong, I love the Arya storyline, but didn't it seem strange and unrealistic that she could just walk, dramatically, straight out of the Frey castle and lands, and no one, no soldiers, or guards would have seen her or stopped her? And considering the world at war, and prejudice, why would what appears to…
First 5 minutes:
*L* Was there a creepy claymation figure? Geez, don't give Lynch any more ideas.

I literally feel like I just watched some combination of 2001, Tool videos, and WTF.
Twin Peaks is trapped in the Black Lodge and can't get out.
"F*ck that sh*t… Pabst BLUE RIBBON!!!"
Kind of was thinking a long the lines of your second theory.
Someone replied about the similarities to the "bum" behind Winkie's in Mulholland Drive. That almost makes sense in a way. He didn't seem to look like any of the Lumberjack's in FWWM.
Nice name, considering part of my real one is the male equivalent. Kind of did, but someone also just pointed out it might be similar to the "bum" in Mulholland Drive.
One of the best replies I have ever gotten, so thanks; and partially because it's right on target. I know more interpretations of some of his earlier work with the exception of Eraserhead: Twin Peaks, FWWM, EM, Blue Velvet, WAH, Dune. Never seen MD. Kinda got tired of Lynch and lost after Lost Highway as did Lynch…
A couple of questions:
1) Any ideas about the black sooty looking figure two cells over from Matthew Lillard's character in the police station in Parts 1-2? A shadow self, or possibly one of the lumberjacks from the Black Lodge? Looked more like a homeless person.
