He handled that so perfectly; I think he genuinely did not initially know who Gary Walsh was.

I loved the Thick of It episode showing similar events - a UK parliamentary enquiry parodying a recent high profile one (about press intrusion etc). Sadly that episode was the second last ever (and Malcolm Tucker was arrested in the final episode).
