Noel Fisher could recite the friggin' phone book and I'd give him an award. I know it's short lived, and I'm sure the sendoff will be terrible, but I couldn't help but let myself revel in his return this week just a little.

You assume they put any thought in to what they write in general, which as a viewer of the show we all know that they don't.
Not necessarily. They're notorious for having no interest in how time works. Earlier seasons maybe had a few months between them in show time, now they jump time and the character's ages to suit their needs. At the end of season 5, Ian was still 17 because it suited them for him to be a minor when facing the Army…
No, she never rescinded her legal rights as their guardian, and as far as we know it wasn't taken away with her brief stint in the clink. So yes, she has a legal obligation to her minor siblings.
When the show first began, I believe Fiona was 21, Lip was 16, Ian was 15, Debbie was 9, Carl was 8 and Liam was 2. All bets are off now. Time is an illusion.
Not true. It's specifically mentioned in season 1 that he tested out of English, though he did have to work harder at other subjects (but he still did the work, that's the point, now he's pod person Ian and nothing matters)
I don't expect Ian to have a nuanced understanding of gender and sexuality, but I expect him to be a little less "babe in the woods" about it all. This is a character who has traveled in social circles outside of his Southside comfort zone, hung out with other gay characters, older characters… Just think about that…
Yes until they ruined her.
Fair enough! I think I get more annoyed that they have done that so many times on the show, and I see people do it a lot IRL.
Would be kind of nice if we could stop calling it bipolar disease and call it bipolar disorder. It's not a disease.
