Come now, "Tim" isn't such a bad name.

Has no one considered that the dog's name was also "Duke Leto"?

"Put the pick in, Pete. And turn it 'round real neat."

From a purely "tell the plot" perspective, yeah, it's fairly straightforward. But much like, say, Watchmen, I think that a great deal ends up being lost in the translation. Even the 6-ish hour 2000 Sci-Fi Channel miniseries (which is basically a stage production with CGI) left a lot to be desired, in spite of

I would LOVE to get my hands on a copy of the book he has for his version of Dune. Holy moly would that be a wild read.

    And Troll 2!

I especially enjoy the extra-long Alan Smithee version, particularly when the dubbed voices for a single character change, or where you can see the same recycled shot of Harkonnen flyers rumbling along, like you're watching an episode of Galactica '78/79.

Do I take a drink now?

Came here to say that. And I scoffed at it when initially announced. But then I started watching it during a slow summer, got hooked, and now I think it's actually pretty well done (although I didn't see the most recent season).

Yeah, the real issue is that you'd have to take something from the original work. Posting literally only the spoiler itself (e.g. "Jon revives, and is Rhaegar and Lyanna's son"; "Glenn is the one who gets killed"; "Secret of The Crying Game: She's a man!") isn't enough. You'd have to take more than that.

Yeah, and kinda like Sons of Anarchy, it's trending towards "misery porn." Fortunately, without the Katey Sagal musical montages.

First, a big part of the problem is that copyright law is very "fact specific," meaning that, while it has certain standardized doctrines, tests, rules, etc. (e.g., fair use), the application of those things is…squishy. It depends heavily on the specific facts of the scenario, and if you change the facts even

I stopped watching midway through last season. That was also around the time that I stopped reading the comic after having purchased, read, and been underwhelmed by the third Compendium.

What about Brandon Lee exclaiming how they're gonna catch Tagawa and then go back and eat sushi off those naked chicks?

*Billy Zabka perks up at the prospect of playing Judo Master*

    Because branding.

Are you sure it wasn't Andy Kauffman in drag?

A pox on the Civ series until it gets rid of its idiotic 1UPT design.

Eh, I found XCOM2, while quite good and engaging, in need of a LOT of work when it first came out. Even aside from the bugs, I found the turn limits in many of the missions to be…questionable at best. Likewise, I found the mission generator could often have some really poorly designed missions (e.g. a lot of "Defend

Could be worse. Could be Saaaaaaaaaandstooooooooooorm!!!
