It looks fun. I'm curious to hear how kids with no memory of the original will take to it. In this age of the think piece I'm sure we'll hear loads about the shows' representation of unchecked capitalism.

Fun Fact! The NES port of Ms. Pac Man has an ending cutscene after Level 255. Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man turn to the screen and wave. Then they are surrounded by tiny Pac babies.

I'm told most of his repeating-the-day montages require 5 turntables. They're the funniest moments in the show and the hardest to reproduce in a new space. They still had better options than that somber ballad, though the character is foul mouthed so they'd have to censor several of the songs for CBS.

What elements of the first game did you like? For me it was the world & character designs and the living feeling of the city. The gameplay was a grab bag of elements, hit and miss, but the basic Zelda exploration was fun.

Something something Female Lead.
Something something Iraq-Egypt relations.
Something something Capitalism vs. Art.
Something something Scientology.

One friend loved "Come From Away." Another compared the performance to "Waiting for Guffman."

Musical Performance ranking thread?

I asked the heterosexuals at my Tony Party if the Rockettes were still considered sexy. Their dancing always reminded me of military formations. I was reminded that the choreography is not necessarily the point.

The premise initially sounded like Heathers in that high school students make an unloved persons suicide all about themselves. I would argue that Evan does face some punishment for his actions. It's not severe though. I eventually let him off the hook due to a piece of information shared near the end of the show.

Before bootlegs on Youtube the Tony's were the only way for small town theater kids, like myself, to see Broadway shows. They're also the chief way a show is remembered after it closes. Theater geeks still play clips of iconic Tony performances (Pearl Bailey in Hello Dolly, Jennifer Holliday in Dreamgirls). After last

Every Shakespeare history play gets U.S. productions with the king dressed up like the current president. They're easier to produce than the handful of plays that are actually written about said presidents.

How many years till the "spiritual successor" airs?

I believe they will be. I just haven't heard the albums for the current productions yet.

I'm still sad that last year's American Pyscho didn't get a Broadway cast recording.

So SquareEnix wanted FFXV to be a Bioware game…
Bioware wanted MEA to be something new but settled for an Ubisoft game…
Ubisoft's still happy being themselves…
And gamers who want turn based and tactical RPG's have been relying on handhelds and indies for the past few years.
Nintendo's still keeping people guessing.

Cervantes was a more classical "leading man" than Miranda. It made it harder to sympathize with his jerk-ier moments in Act Two but it was interesting to hear the score sung by a trained singer.

I know most folks are done with Mass Effect: Andromeda but I enjoyed Kotaku's feature on the behind the scenes drama. The gist of it is that they spent 3-ish years on a No Man's Sky style universe with procedural-y generated planets. When they couldn't make it work they reshuffled the team and banged out the end

Sae: How did you accomplish this!

The gay press advertised the Iceman comic about 6 months ago. I couldn't find a release date so I forgot about it. I hope the rest of the target audience doesn't forget as well.
