A solid B with some clever ideas sprinkled among the generic action beats. I wanted some more nuance to the Diana's arc and her relationship with the villains but you can only do so much in such a crowded screenplay.

Saw the stage adaptation of Shakespeare in Love. I hadn't seen the film since 1998 (Oof. Time.) but the faithful script brought back the memories. The love story is still pale as the leading lady feels generic. The backstage lets-put-on-a-show comedy holds up better though the actors squashed some of the humor by…
I was looking forward to the FFXV DLC Episode Prompto. It's allegedly releasing around the time of E3. The prior DLC has discouraged this as Gladio's episode was a combat dungeon with little story or character development. I have to remind myself that modern Square is not Bioware despite their tip toes towards WRPG…
Adventure of Mana is available for ios and it's charming. I found it a faithful remake of the original game. This resulted in one late game challenge felling unfair but not enough to ruin the experience.
Re Specter of Torment: I had some trouble with two bosses. Tinker Knight's machine and the Electric fellow in Specter Knight's graveyard.. The rest of the game went by quickly.
You loved her in Les Mis.. Now Amanda Seyfried is… Miss Saigon!
The Spelunky was inside of you all along.
Persona 5. Fourth palace complete. The Anubis wiped out my party many times. It forced me to grind. I was overpowered by the time I reached the boss. I need to slow my pace to avoid burnout.
Mean Girls 2?… The Musical?
Imdb says she's still alive but stopped acting in the 90's.
Oh memories are flooding back. I'm surprised how many episodes I can recall. A favorite was when Roz, the bailiff, quit taking her diabetes medication. She had a violent episode and climbed onto the roof of the building. Dan had to give her a shot of insulin and got beat up for his troubles. The conversation they had…
I'm finding it easy to ambush enemies and hard to sneak past them. Once my SP runs low I try my best to avoid battles till the next checkpoint. It's risky as getting caught gives the foes the first turn and can wipe out the party in a round.
Listened to the new cast album for the Broadway musical War Paint.
At some point writers have to ask why a world filled superheroes hasn't been "saved." Or what it means to be saved? Are there still wars? Do heroes aid towns that suffer from floods or famine? Do humans make a conscious effort to help the superheroes improve the world and find they can't sustain it? What level of…
Everybody benefits from a hobby. Why do some grown men discuss sports players at length? Or cars? Or Tony Award winning actresses?
Something Something American malaise meets Something Something Toxic Masculinity.
I've sunk some money into the quest and have found another useful feature. You can buy 9 equipment racks for your house. I'm using them to display the rare gear I'm scared to use, freeing up my inventory.
Musical Theater Nerds Unite! Get your BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop caps on and let's think this through.
I appreciate FFXV and BOTW's optional objectification of the male protagonists. I hope this is the start of a trend.
Agreed. I played the free Ch 13 patch and read some reviews of the Gladio DLC. After determining there was no real character growth or justification of his awful late game behavior I opted to skip the purchase. Here's hoping Prompto and Ignis get a little more love.
