It's hard not to love the choice of an authoritarian, extremist, sociopath German who isn't an actual Nazi.

So far, everyone at the fertility clinic is a human mook.
Who, apart from the one attack, he has no actual experience of, given that the TV news media was controlled by them from Day One.
Yes, it's the complete disconnect between someone The Master thinks has darkness and a character whose (apparent) empathy for his mother was so strong he nuked New York.
Dutch character was kinda ruined by her yelling "Satrakian" out loud when they got taken. Sure, huge plot hole, etc., etc.. But also - and worse - huge undermining of Dutch' character.
There is something very, very, very wrong about casting a mid 20s (or older?) actress as the "love interest" for a 13 year old kid. Seriously US TV, if you're going to insist on trying to pass adults off as teens, try and make sure they're all adults, otherwise its just sick.
I don't think Daenerys knew about Euron's fleet?
Checkov's Dire Wolf really needs to show up in the next couple of episodes.
As I understand it, the continuity is that Time Lords are outside the rules and its only convention which dictates things like not interacting with prior versions (hence all the multi-doctor stories). Whereas important humans (which Rose definately was) cause ruptures and the Black Speedster appears…
Sorry, I don't see how this can get an A rating. It really was a bit of a disaster.
Yeah saw the link further down, interesting stuff.
Great link.
I've always liked the idea of a show (especially an apocalypse type show) which evolved where entire seasons worked on different mechanics, two or three seasons of personal non-apocalypse related stories leading to the big shift and a completely new show coming out of that.
You're taking it as certain that Missy is after Simm?
Marching is by far the best method of negotiating the future where civilisation has come to the consensus that the worlds and space should be dominated by small corridors!
The process was genuinely chilling and part of what made me enjoy the story so much. But the look was just too far out of place in a 2017 show, it took me out of the story and ruined the pay off at the end.
I agree with you, jlk7e, its not at all bad, as a three parter, Utopia/Drums/Last of the Time Lords has a whole lot going for it and outside of the flubbed solution had some really great stuff in it, I still loved the Saxon concept and execution and, especially, the wife.
I try to avoid the previews, the BBC are becoming utterly stupid in their spoiling of their own product.
It would have broken my heart (her death at the start was a real emotional kick) if it wasn't for how utterly stupid the costume was. It took me out the show (the episode had me gripped until that point) and killed any emotional response.
Yeah, this was one of those BBC decisions you look at and wonder "what the f were you thinking".
