I argue it's still there in every episode of the show, it's just not as clear because it isn't done as introduction and because people got used to it. But every episode it's a "HEY LOOK! IT'S THE 60's! THAT'S SO 60's!", there just happens to be more than that as well.

Yeah, Bob Benson and whorehouse flashbacks are much more soapy than anything on season one.

To it's exactly the opposite. The show told a hold of me right away, and everything after season 3 has been kind of a step down for me when compared to the glory years.

It was one of my favorite shows seasons one through three, but it started to lose in the last three ones (even though it still has moments that remind me why I loved it in the first place).

A lot of AV Clubbers do, but I thought those three last ones were the seasons where the show aims harder and more overtly for the doomed cycle of mistakes angle that was used much better in The Sopranos before. I think it really took some of the show, especially as they repeat a lot of the same basic beats for Don

For people who think I don't like this show, know that I loved seasons one and two (and really liked season three). This pilot is just great in all aspects: directing, cinematography, writing… And it was a great show of potential for what would the season be (even if no one could've guessed the glorious highs of Nixon

The one part of her career where the sold out accusations seemed to be all over the internet (her first solo album) was also the best moment of her career. Also, anyone who has ever seen No Doubt as more than a mainstream pop band is in denial.

I think both are terrible. They are just harming gay people in different ways. And Eminem doesn't just use the f-word. He has made explicit lyrics about taking violent action on gay people out of disgust he has for them. That's not just casual use of the f-word. That's downright hate speech, even if done in character.

That half-assed "if two people wanna be miserable together…" line is not support. It was a vague and half-hearted way to sidetrack his homophobia in the moment when asked a question. Because that's also the other thing that's annoying about Eminem: you're only allowed to see him as he paints himself in music when it's

"Especially Kanye"? There are hundreds of rappers who are offensive to gay people. Kanye is not one of them. You hate Kanye and is trying to shove him in this discussion at any cost. You don't even make sense while doing so because you don't hesitate to show unrelenting rage. You have not given any actual good,

I love My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy the best, but I think it's much closer than than it looks like. Sir Lucious Left Foot is awesome, and I listen to every single track of those two albums to this day. 2010 was such a great year for music.

Okay, now I see why you mentioned Kanye in the other disucssion. You just hate Kanye. I mean, how is it even appropriate to bring Kanye in this? What does Kanye have to do with how Eminem's album is reviewed? Do you even know how to praise Eminem without attacking Kanye?

You do, but your trite simplifying of my argument and you Eminem fanboyism are getting in the way of you actually having a discussion.

Kanye doesn't have homophobic lyrics. He even doesn't use "no homo" (I think he only did on Run This Town, which was really random). Sometimes he uses the f-word with another context, and that's it. I have listened to all his albums. I'm usually really bothered by homophobia in music, and I can listen to Kanye. He

Wow, what an elaborated argument that addreses nothing I have said.

Again, people are acting as if Eminem's only homophobic remarks are using the f-word. If it were only that, I wouldn't have problems with it. But he makes sure he shows his disgust directed specifically towards GAY people, and even raps regularly about how he wants to assault them and treat them like shit.

His lines form a context of hate: beating people up, stab them, gross at gay people, spitting on them, denying gay marriage like the plague.

I already explained that the fucking dick than a swallower wasn't fucking homophobic. It was a pun out of the fact he prefers to be a jerk who makes his own trends and does whatever he feels like it instead of swallowing the formula of what everyone else is doing. Yes, it's done in a very crude way, but a dick joke is

Jay Z uses the f-word not as homophobia, but general offense though. He seems to take the Louis C.K. use of the word. Whereas Eminem's lyrics can't be read as anything else than just attack on gay people for no other reason besides him being disgusting and going for shock value

Yeezus really isn't a homophobic album by any stretch, and Kanye actually has a considerable gay fanbase (that seems to get ignored when people talk about him). Eminem is just a jerk looking for attention by cheap offensive controversy and who doesn't give a shit about gay people and whether he is offending or not.
