That I agree with. I think he deserved his nominations, but I don't think he truly was the best in any given year he won.

I changed my grade a few times. I didn't find very enjoyable, and I think the show has a few problems in sticking the more Parks-like jokes and tone with the more Happy Endings-like jokes and moments (like Samberg in pijamas). Sometimes they work and feel like one single show that stands out on its own (like the…
Doesn't change the fact the writer never once said that what TBBT does is necessarily better than the single-camera shows. It's not being argued as superiority, but as to what TBBT bring to the table that's different from those shows. It was comparison for sake of contrast, not differentiation of quality.
Everyone knows I love Apartment 23, so I feel good in saying that while there are shows that thrive this way, it has also become just as much a formula as what TBBT does. Som times it's well done, sometimes it's awful. But we need to stop simplifying and saying that certain formulas are bad in essence.
FX dramas don't get nominated for Emmys in the drama categories, only mini/movie, and even then, only if Ryan Murphy at the helm.
Season one is probably the weakest season. Season six is by far the best one.
What is this saying bullshit about ABBA? They were a great group that had tons of excellent singles and at least one truly great album with "The Visitors". Who made you authority in deciding the quality of ABBA?
I feel the exact opposite. For me I Love It is just another abrasive synth-pop song like hundreds of singles post-La Roux (where the fuck is that second album???). But All Night feels like adapting ABBA sensibilities to a modern dance-pop song, and I like it much better than the first single.
Fuck Marvel, I want to watch the new Brooklyn Nine-Nine, I'm already hooked.
The review talk about Terry Crews in Arrested Development, but he was actually severely underused there. Terry Crews in Everybody Hates Chris, now that's the stuff. One of my favorite underrated comedic performances of the last decade in television. He was perfect in that role.
Urgh, that Of Montreal song is annoying. I feel this album is better than The ArchAndroid also.
So it isn't a procedural where the U2 guitarist solves crimes?
Comparing Under The Skin to Holy Motors alone would make me excited about it, but all the superlatives… I feel like I'm gonna probably love this film. Glazer has such a captivating, striking eye for imagery, and this seems like the kind of film perfectly suited for someone with a background like his.
Prince is my all time favorite artist, Badu is one of my favorite female singers, Solange did my favorite song last year, and Miguel had my favorite r&b album in what was a particularly strong year for the genre. So I was in heaven listening to that amazing sequence of features.
1998 was such a great year for r&b singles. Off the top of my head, it was the year of Destiny's Child's "No No No", Usher's "My Way", Janet's "I Get Lonely", Lauryn's "Ex-Factor", Brandy & Monica's "The Boy is Mine", and what just might be the best r&b single of the 90's (or at least the best one from Timbaland) "Are…
Really. I was thirteen and I just assumed it was about boners. Hell, being thirteen probably helped me realize this song was about boners.
Best album of the year. Just fantastic.
Oh, this film is named Adore, not Adorn. So Prince track, not Miguel's.
Pop music in the 90's mostly sucked. And the stuff that was good (like say, Spice Girls) was treated like shit by rock fans and critics, who somehow praised Hanson. Also, there were a few good solid pop hits, but mostly by one-hit wonders.
I'm torn between Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack and Spice Girls.
