After his parents meet a grisly demise, a bright lad like Henry might assume a German American libertarian vegan identity and end up winning a Max Arciniega Chemistry Scholarship at UNM.

They might personally believe that, but who wants to risk a lawsuit?

It may just be that in the end Jimmy realises and accepts he's "the bad guy". Like Jesse coming out of rehab, "It's all about accepting who you really are. I accept who I am. I'm the bad guy."

Revealed in Breaking Bad, Gus emigrated to Mexico in 1986, then to the US in 1989. So 14-17 years before this BCS episode.

14-17 years earlier.
In Breaking Bad, Hank's investigation reveals Gus emigrated to Mexico in 1986, and then to the US in 1989.

Here's hoping it is Gale Boetticher, recipient of a Max Arciniega Chemistry Scholarship.

Who said anything about Philip being uncaring?

Reassurance is not hollow, and it's not about himself. From what is shown, the 'real' Americans (Stan and Pastor Tim) are much warmer in contrast to the Soviets (Philip and Oleg's father).

The are pretty cold/distant parents. Four episodes ago in Lotus 1-2-3, eating dinner at the kitchen table, Paige says to Philip, "I'm already so screwed up; maybe I'm just meant to be alone." No reassurance from her dad, he's motionless, expressionless, silent, until she leaves the room.

Abnormal? Unusual, according to to A. James Wagner's The Climate of Spring 1984 - An Unusually Cold and Stormy Season over Much of the United States: "Spring 1984 was substantially colder than normal over much of the eastern two-thirds of the United States…".

I was waiting for her to bring out the strap-on - submissive Gus would have taken it.

That's the one :) Edited for good measure.

Like the audible breathing in The Sopranos, it really adds dimension to the characters.

Walt always thought he was the smartest man in the room - just look at the disdain he had for Elliott and Gretchen.

I'm guessing they swapped gas caps with an active third tracker as a replacement for the presumed flat-battery one in that dead-of-night visit. You see Mike remove a gas cap and drop it in the neighbour's garden before setting off in chase. So that's four trackers in total, including Mike's.

You mean the person Philip chk-chk'd on the radio as Stan's squeeze drove off? That wasn't a man, man - that was a female member of Philip's field support.

Henry has been busy fixing it and getting the bugs out.

Maybe Henry is a math genius and caught the eye of a CIA recruiter, who follows up with secretive phone calls. The background check threatens to expose the Jenningses.

110 is not an odd. 101%
