I was actually super impressed that he went toe to toe with a guy who embodies pure evil, and didn't back off after Malvo closed his window to him the first time. He was very persistent, and very insightful - black eyes and all that stuff.

It's not a synagogue truck. It's an outreach truck. He's not a Rabbi. He's someone who does outreach to unaffiliated jews (Mitzvah Tank), and probably has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom anyway.

Weirdest thing about it was her pulling off her wig, and realizing she was an orthodox jewish woman. And then joins her family at the dinner table, her husband was clearly wearing a yarmulke. Her actions in the previous scene were extremely jarring in light of that.

The show's filming feels a LOT like the great british show, Wallander, with Kenneth Branagh. Some similar feel in the pathos and pacing as well.

Could the final two horsemen turn out to be Katrina, and Ichabod's father (especially now that the excellent Victor Garber is playing Ichabod's father)? Ichabod is supposed to have a personal connection to all of them!
