The White Stripes live show was magical. Saw them 3 times myself, and I'm not their biggest fan, but those two people onstage together created something special that I'm afraid can never be matched by Jack alone or with any other band.

Come was such a great band. I'm glad Thalia is indeed still making music - I reeeaaaallllly should check it out.
I understand why L7 is so beloved by many - they're a great, fun live band. I also understand why some people never liked them. But they were tons better than the Lunachicks.
Get oot of here!
To my great regret, they changed the photo.
Penthouse Forum has really gone downhill lately.
For the little I know about them, I was pretty sure that pic wasn't them.
Out on the road today, I saw a Black Flag sticker on a Cadillac…
Everything I've heard about Animal Collective has made me avoid them like the plague. I just assumed they were skeevy, smelly dudes. Had I known they were actually cute young women, I might have given them a chance!
Oh, ScratStitch has made references in the past that point to being a full-out Brony in the classic "I get off sexually on furry cosplay" sense.
Cool to see Sam The Record Man with A&A Records right beside it - two great, long-gone Canadian music chain stores.
Billy West is so passionate about the issue, I'm happy every time I see actors predominate in cartoons. I don't hate Billy by any means, but he feels so strongly about it, I just like picturing him blowing up every time he sees it happen again.
I've been watching previews all summer for this show. For the longest time I was positive it was Canadian. It looks that bad. I say that with affection for so much great Canadian TV. But this show really looked Canadian.
American Beauty is hugely over-rated. Or was at the time. I assume people today recognize its many flaws.
I haven't seen the film since it came out, as well. . . but I remember really enjoying it. I'm saddened to hear Solveig Dommartin is no longer with us. Where have I been the last 9 years? She was a gorgeous woman. Loved her in Wings of Desire.
Wonder Boys is one of the only movies I recall giving up on part-way through. I hated it so much. Because I won't go near it, I've now forgotten why I hated it so furiously. The self-important pretension of the characters? Anyway, L.A. Confidential alone ensures Hanson's rep as a stylish and important director. R.I.P.
Your story has the texture of a novel!
I turned down the opportunity to see him last week and kind of regret it. Did he play all the favorites? (ie. songs about 25 years old?)
So true; it was Mould reflecting the Pixies' light back at them, ie. "Husker Du Meets Peter, Paul, and Mary." I saw Mould open for The Pixies, touring Workbook, actually.
Upvoted for the Ellison reference, downvoted because the Streetpass games are just mindless fun, dude!
Don't forget First Blood was filmed there, complete with a shot of John Rambo ambling out of town past a sign reading, "You Are Now Leaving Hope." Film reviewers of the time didn't believe it was a real sign.
