I think sexual assault is a little strong here, though maybe you're right. But again, the original issue here is that there's enough uncertainty and fuzzy context that it's not a big deal for a comedian to question it as part of his act.

kicked off his campaign by suggesting Mexicans are rapists
boasts about a behaviour that is only potentially assault, to the point where I don't consider it a big deal if a comedian makes a few jokes over it.
change a few words in there and you basically have a defence of trump's comments.
again, context is kinda important in this situation. It's quite possible that he's a pig, for sure, but, bringing it back to the topic of the article, there's nothing wrong with pointing out the absurdity of it like Chapelle has done, especially since all we have to go on are allegations.
okay, but that's not what he said.
Maybe they do, but there's no definite proof that it is. Going in for a surprise kiss is not the end of the world…
It's from inside edition. I don't know if it's true, but i fail to see how it's any different than what's going on here, with allegations of misconduct being reported by the media; if this upsets you, then what i've given should upset you just as much because it's the exact same thing.
given the context under when that statement was given, that's a bit of a stretch. Again, if you want to go off of circumstantial and hearsay evidence, that really doesn't help Clinton either
Plenty of stuff is online
we're going in circles, it's a bit premature to call what he described sexual assault. Its not automatically bad to touch other people, and Hillary allegedly had a hand in silencing women who tried to speak out against her husband or so the story goes
And of course Trump is just a savvy business man who takes clever advantage of business law loopholes with only allegations against him of abuse which have yet to be proven and are likely started by jealous or opportunistic golddigging losers…Please.
Basically slander, libel, and other aggressive tactics like employing PIs to suppress Bill's wacky shenanigans.
oh, you don't want to go down that paranoid rabbit hole…
well if that's enough to convict, Bill and Hilary would have been executed years ago.
which is debatable and an overreaction in my opinion, which Chapelle seems to be saying as well
Heavy handed would probably be a better way to put it.
Is it sexual assault though? A little ribald sure, but there's nothing there that confirms what he did was non-consensual unless you choose to interpret it that way. And you're free to do that of course, but the issue here is the one sided way with which it was represented in the news.
One might argue that sexual assault is minimized or obfuscated by trying to tie it to such a nonevent
It really just some talk between a couple of guys who thought they weren't being public at the time… What disturbs me more is the notion that we need to start policing ourselves more even in private like we're heading toward some Orwellian telescreen nightmare. But hey it's just politics and really nobody really gives…
