It's depressing to me how many adults I see on the subway reading young adult novels. I totally get that reading is better than no-reading, but those books are written for pre-teens. I just can't buy that they are that good as works of literature.

"Though it doesn’t really seem like it at first, HBO’s Girls and comedian/podcaster Marc Maron actually have a lot in common."
I get that this comment is essentially a joke, but it's pretty lame that you hear "unfunny narcissistic emotional exploration" and think women. Maron is the master of that shit, and last time I checked, he's all man, baby.
Varys forgets to release the boiler pressure and the entirety of King's Landing explodes. In the show, however, winter comes and they're all frozen in the gardens.
It doesn't make it that much better, but it's specifically the first time since the Beatles that an artist has had their first two singles ever on the list be #1 and #2. Plenty of other artists have had #1 and #2 at the same time, but they were established. It pretty much just amounts to crazy marketing for her and…
And Ronald Reagan acted opposite of a monkey! That's the experience we need in our world leaders.
I have no idea what will happen, but if any network could do something like this, it would be HBO. It's not TV, it's HBO.
The song you chose really showcases Meg White's ability to be silent.
I saw this on Sunday, so I'm not sure if this is right, but I think it was Kernkraft 400 - Zombie Nation (sports remix). Either that or I just heard that song somewhere else. It's the one with the people chanting whoooooooooa oh, right?
Ted was pretty good?
Er, if anything it would be crazier to audiences nowadays than to audiences back then. Not that the idea would be very crazy to either audience.
I love Broad City. Love, love, love it. In only its first season it has climbed the ranks to be one of the best shows on TV. Having said that, to call it outré is basically to lose all sense of the word and to suggest that there aren't weirder and wilder things happening in the realm of television (Check it Out! with…
They've just both fallen a long way? Because it would be absurd to suggest that either one of them had not fallen a great deal.
That's what it does!
When Firefly is not in the room, everyone should be asking "Where's Firefly?"
The bars.
Thank you so much for showing me this. That's honestly one of the funnier things I've seen in a while, and I'm not a fan of Conan (but a huge fan of Robert Smigel). Triumph kills it. Those people hurl insults for a living and he came in there and just tore through them. The vomit at the end was incredible.
I hope somebody got fired for that blunder. No, seriously, that's beyond lazy writing. Why even include that information? It's not really relevant, and way more importantly, it's very obviously inaccurate.
And… Nick Denton… deserves to die.
Uh, please go watch the movie. It's almost blasphemous to have become so familiar with the score first as the image and music are so tied together. I feel like it's important to experience them as one (although I have enjoyed listening to the soundtrack after).
