The writers are trying to present him as being a torn personality. So somehow not being as black and white as we've perceived him all season long.

Oh true.. I totally missed that scene.. Phoebe is the trump card in Ericas "army". And Quentin is very invested in her, as shown over the whole season. So it makes no sense that Quentin should win this standoff and he has never been shown to be competent with firearms..

I am astounded that the reviewer found that Heroes:Reborn is moving in the right direction. For me this episode repeated almost all the mistakes it has been making over the season.
