- Broad City wasn't that great
- Hannibal was great, but not #1 worthy
- Arrow not being in the top 10 is laughable
- True Detective should have been #1

Boogie Nights is also the best PT Anderson movie

Was honestly pretty disappointed with this movie, even though I loved the book. I'm not really enjoying PTA's move towards wilfully obtuse filmmaking. Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love, hell, even There Will Be Blood…they were complex, but they were still fun. The Master and Inherent Vice felt like slogs,

Hoyte van Hoytema? Is he related to Colonel Hap Hapablap?

Reading this list makes me even sadder at what the show has become, because it was truly a compelling and often haunting human drama in its early years. Too bad the show's success got to Sutter's head, and he sacrificed the narrative momentum and brutal efficiency of the early seasons for bloated, overambitious filler

I guess us South Asians will have to wait a couple more decades for roles that are not nerds, IT geeks, or terrorists! But thanks AV Club, for not acknowledging us at all in your profound, insightful article about racial diversity on TV.

The first episode of the 1990s Superman animated series did a Krypton TV show better than this will.

You guys remember that "hide yo kids, hide yo wife, cause they're rapin everybody out here" video from a few years back? I think this particular gif from that video encapsulates Aaron Sorkin perfectly…

There are a lot of things wrong with this show, but one of the biggest is trying to force the idea that boys wouldn't find Alex attractive. Really, show? I feel kind of skeezy saying this because I'm 8 years older than Ariel Winter, but have the producers actually seen what she looks like? She's a beauty.

Yeah well your avatar is just a misshapen shadow, LOSER

FUCKING AMEN

Hah, nice try, Dowd, we know that's you fronting as Jesse Hassenger

I initially watched it only because of Neeson. He is always compelling and charismatic regardless of what movie he is in. I was a little bit wary of Carnahan's involvement though, because despite how good Narc was, he kind of lost the ball with Smokin' Aces and The A-Team. I got over it and watched the movie and

I love this movie. It's intense and visceral, but with an undercurrent of such heavy melancholy and existential dread that it's hard to believe it's a relatively high budget Hollywood action flick (or rather, it was marketed as such). Such a great deconstruction of the "alpha male badass vs nature" trope.

The Gr2y

"Sentient Autonomous Penis"

He talks too much, doesn't he know that real G's move in silence like lasagna?

I am not Canadian by birth, but I grew up here and I've gained a deep love and respect for Canada's wilderness through hiking, kayaking etc. As a result, Farley Mowat has always been one of my favourite authors. I've always really liked this movie but it's been a while, I might just watch it again and get
