Oh, okay. I totally misinterpreted what you said. Sorry. Thanks.

Could you tell us what he said anyway, like here in the comments? That was the main thing that stuck out to me with this episode, because Freddie's probably my favorite character on the show and if she really is dead, which it sounded like she was to me, I'm going to be angry. I need to know…

I felt bad for him, but I was also happy that they didn't make him a Nice Guy and have him get all pissed off when she told him she wasn't in the right place for a relationship. The previous episode, I kind of assumed that he was helping her for the sex, but it looks like he really did want to help her.

Pfft, you're not alone. I'm always terrible with remembering names, particularly of characters who don't appear on screen a lot and aren't necessarily major characters. It's so hard for me to keep track of who all the people they run into are and who's doing what. I agree that the emotional content prevents that from

I really loved that episode. It didn't have a lot of action, but it showed off a lot of what makes The Americans so special. It can generate tension without a lot of gunfights and violence, as when Stan was following Oleg. Elizabeth's scene with the soldier where she let him know they weren't going to see each other

Since I generally like Boyle as a character, I wouldn't want the show to cut him out or anything, and they've started to move away from his Rosa obsession. The scene when they confront each other about it and agree that they can just be friends made me so happy, but as others have noted, there have also been some

The fact that that's the official title is the best thing I've seen all day.

I know AV Club has talked about those shows. Am I not allowed to mention them? They're still shows that your average person (i.e. people who aren't absolutely obsessed with TV) probably hasn't watched.

I'd say Masters of Sex (plenty of time to get through the 12 episode first season before the second season starts!), Enlightened and The Hour. Those are three of my favorite recent shows that I think are still wildly underseen or that aren't talked about enough. They're also all good for anyone seeking alternatives to

Wow, well said. I feel like I should add some sort of insight, but I'm not sure if I have anything left to say on that, just bravo.

I thought this episode was really good. The acting on this show has been really amazing, and Michael Sheen, Caitlin Fitzgerald and Ann Dowd were especially great this week. I suppose I've bought into the personal character drama a lot more than Sonia has, because I thought the last twenty minutes or so, particularly

Agreed on pretty much everything you said, though I thought The Hour was a good Mad Men-esque show too. I seriously don't know whether I've seen a character devolve so quickly from kinda goofy/likable to a complete asshole so quickly. At least Pete is aware of how horrible of a person he can be. Hopefully, they give
