I ran into that situation while volunteering at two abortion clinics, across the city from each other in the mid-'90s. A protester at one clinic came into the other clinic for an abortion. She was someone I recognized from her red-faced harangues as I escorted sad, scared women into the clinic.

Assuming you just saw Penny Dreadful, the last scene, where the young woman who had paid her a visit screamed,"Burn the witch!" totally reminded me of an anti-abortion protester I would see at the clinic where I volunteered.
