I don't disagree! However, this AVClub piece suggests that the Hulu experience is characterized as either an ad-based one or a subscription-based one, but the Hulu Plus experience has long been characterized as one that involves both a fee AND ads. Recently they added a no-ads tier with a higher price, but baseline

Wait, but I pay them AND they still show me ads. So this is good for me?

I really hate anyone but Ru picking who goes home - let's hope that it's more like on Hell's Kitchen, where the winner selects two or three people for elimination and then Ru chooses. Sometimes when Ramsay thinks the choices for up for elimination are bullshit he even goes ahead and sends who he wants home. I'd hate

Well, I have a PhD in art history and it bugs the shit out of me when my students use it.

I think using the sources at the bottom can be OK, but in general encyclopedias are not good scholarly sources.

Encyclopedias in general aren't scholarly sources.

Sure, you wanna look at the sources Wikipedia uses, I don't have a problem with that. Though you have to be careful, because there can be an odd mix of scholarly and very much non-scholarly sources in those articles.

I like this feature, but please, don't encourage students to use wikipedia when writing term papers. It makes us college teachers super sad.

That's exactly what I said!

Peters are always rising and falling in America…

For me "Wires and Waves" has gotta be on there, too.

Seriously. The one stone classic in their oeuvre isn't even on the list.

My favorite minor detail of the episode was the way in which so many of the shots were poorly framed, exactly like so many of the bad student films I have seen.

Seriously. The majority of the land area in Maryland definitely skews Lost Cause, but something like 2/3 or 3/4 of the people live in the I-95 corridor. It has the highest median household income of any state.

Well, now everyone can remember that Dominic Toretto wasn't always about "American Muscle," and instead drove a tricked-out Japanese sedan, just like everyone else in that movie.

Siege of Dragonspear is pretty good - I'd say it's worth your time.

This piece seems a bit premature - I'm sure Margaery will have plenty to do as we move forward.

I'll be playing Far Harbor, and when my gf gets her turn on the PS4 (she's playing Dragon Age 3), I'll be finishing up my full Baldur's Gate Saga playthrough. I brought this one character through BG1, SoD, SoA, and now I'm in ToB. I'm actually kind of sick of it, but I figure I might as well see it through to the end.

I also don't like this show (my girlfriend loves it, so I don't mind watching it), which is why I enjoyed reading your recaps of it so much. Thanks for a fun season of recaps, if not of TV!

I agree that it's very possible his mother already knows he does drag. The concept of the "open secret" is a powerful one, and not directly addressing something like this can ensure minimal discomfort. It's a time-honored coping strategy about a great number of things, and indeed one of the glues that holds human
