this album is excellent
I think this review is fairly well-balanced. The Pitchfork reviewer (who it was apparent basically just doesn't like her) savaged her for never seeming to grow up and be serious. Because (A) all music obviously has to be serious, and (B) songs like Blue Lips and various earlier songs

Not to mention his recent unconscionable abuse of some kid's arm that quite possibly cost the kid draft position and thus money.

*slow clap*

Limbeck
I always associate the SoCal alt-country band Limbeck with summer. Nothing like infectious tunes about road trips to get you in a summery mood.

vantage
My dad smokes Vantage. I've tried them a few times. Christ they're terrible.

Freaks and Geeks
I'd love to see someone tackle Freaks and Geeks. I know I'm late to the party, but what a party! Maybe they could go straight into Undeclared or something after that.

I read that it was filmed on the 6 train! Why can't Hollywood ever get New York right?!?!?!?!?!???!!!1

"Here's where the meta-meta action comes in: This is a company that makes small candy beans that are supposed to mimic a real-world flavor. I love this movie. A lot. It's the first (and thus far only) Criterion DVD I have bought.

So is the All-American Rejects song on the soundtrack
Because if it isn't…well, they missed an opportunity there. Tyson Ritter is just so. dreamy.

I tried Fraoch once

My family is all from Indiana, and both parents went to Purdue. I'm glad they left.

This is a problem I had with Pledged, which was an Alexandra Robbins book about infiltrating sororities. It reeked a little too much of "let's see what all the cool kids were doing while I passed my classes in college."

I read it in high school and tried to evangelize all my friends to read it. Few of them ever did, I think.

They're pretty huge in _Celebrity_, which I just watched last night (don't bother, bad movie).

The link between dental/gum disease and heart disease is really scary. And real, obviously.
