That's very simple: I already am not a big fan of Disney and its silly americanization and sanitization of European or Asian tales. If they start also adding PCness and political messages about "sexuality" to my 4 years old kid - I will actively boycott them.

Unless you have a new definition of children, no, sexuality does not affect children. It affects teenagers.

I am calling it now - Winds of Winter will *never* be finished by GRRM. I bet he is not even writing it at all. He does not care anymore, and, it's legitimate. It's his life, he may have other things to do and enjoy that finishing a book he started 25 years ago.

I also think that even if this movie is better, the difference of quality between it and BvS does not justify the collective dump taken on BvS vs the ecstatic reaction to this one. There is not a huge gap. They are very different, and they do not share the same flaws, but both have huge flaws. BvS is a C/C+ movie,

Finally saw it.

Are you ?

I am speaking of scientific studies, not polls. And anyway, we are way passed the point when people were afraid of going out of the closet. It's almost the contrary in some quarters.
And also, you know, we live in reality. We know people around us, there are not 20% "queers", not even close. Following this discussion I

Ok, teens. I don't know what queer is. I know a few gay people, some of whom are bisexuals, and straight people. There are actually a lot of studies about the number of non-straight people in western countries and the range is from 1% to 8%, usually 2-5%, with differences across countries and generations but not a lot.

No I am not.

"because 1 in 5 kids are queer"

Why is there still no review of the first episode ?

Left-wingers have no sense of humor, as usual.

"He's a power-hungry charlatan fronting a group of hypocritical religious fundamentalists"

Kartstark's father was executed by Robb. The dragons would have achieved what by killing Tyrion ? What is logical here ?

Azor Ahai is a messianic prophetic figure in the books, this is one of many context/storylines from the book that are not in the TV show.

I happen to be on the minority here who does not like this show - I have been watching it in hope that it will get better, because it is indeed very beautiful and the actors are excellent, but the plot is awfully bad.
I will check if this season gets any better and maybe give it another chance.

It's an Israeli TV production from early 2000s so it has probably nothing to do with anything Jewish. Nowadays it would be slightly better. Wait another generation when the ultra-secular Tel Avivian minority will also be a minority in the TV/movie industry.

He co-wrote the pilote and directed it as well as episode 3x01 (he did not write this episode, just directed it). That's all. "Executive Producing" as you know is meaningless. He was not involved in over 95% of the series.

JJ Abrams built part of his reputation on Lost while he was only involved with the pilote (and directed the season 3 premiere). Lost was first and foremost Damon Lindelof's child with the help, from episode 7, of Carlton Cuse. Abrams really had nothing to do with it.

JJ Abrams had almost nothing to do with Lost.
