I never said that season 5 was better than previous seasons and it indeed was one of the weakest. But the weakest of GoT is still better than most other shows.

Season 5 was fine, and some of the shows you are quoting here were horrible.

You have every right to hate this show. You could at least explain why.

I must admit that I used to be furious at him, but after The Hobbit disaster, I must admit he was right.
I do hope someday someone makes a Silmarillion TV show - on HBO after GOT for example.

Peter Jackson did not get some minutia wrong. First all the things he changed he did it voluntarily and for narrative reasons, mostly. Then, he changed not just some details, but almost everything, from whole plots to the overall philosophy of the books. And that's fine.

The issue is that "not getting Superman right" is not the problem. The problem is: is the movie good. Batman can kill people and Superman be an asshole if Snyder wants. This would not be an issue if the movie was really good. It is not. It is just average (better than the Avengers movies in my eyes but I can't stand

So the main criticism of this movie is "he does not get Superman right". Which is pretty stupid as criticism goes. This is a fucking adaptation and he understands Superman exactly how he wants to understand him. This is his interpretation, you do not have to like it of course. But he is perfectly entitled to it.
Reminds

Marvel and DC both understand the silliness of the superhero movies. Marvel decided to embrace it, that's why nerds and critics love them, that's why I do not. DC at least seem to be embarrassed and try to make them more "realistic" (like the TDK movies who were not, in fact, superhero movies) or take a serious tone

As a non-comic book reader and someone who does not like superhero movies, I do prefer the DC ones over the childish and incredibly retarded but "fun" Marvel movies. Not that I think that the DC movies are good. And they are much less fun, indeed. Just - they are less stupid.

There is even good reasons to think there was no leader at all:

"the Old Testament—a narrative of punitive punishments meted out to non-believers with a serious angry streak"

ISIL (that the whole world calls Daesh but the USA insists on ISIS/ISIL) is mostly a group of a few dozen of thousands of low skilled soldiers who could not stand 2 days against a true modern western army. They are not a threat.

There is such a thing when the character is not coherent within the story/movie itself. Not between various media and adaptations.

You are a Superman fan (I guess that's what you meant), not a regular movie-goer. So this movie is not for Superman fans. So what ?

That's the usual question about adaptations. I support complete freedom of adaptation. It can follow the original materials or be completely different, just an inspiration. I would be very interested in a Superman movie treated realistically where the guy quickly becomes crazy and behaves like the half-God that he is

The reactions of the people who did not like this movie are so extreme that it almost compels you to defend it, even if you think like me it was just average. It certainly does not deserve the strange hate that it generates among certain people (probably Marvel fanboys but they are at least more intelligent than DC

"why such a virtuous person "

I am sorry but who cares if this is a different Superman ? On the contrary isn't it more interesting ? If you want the usual Superman you have 80 years of comics and movies and stuff. This is Snyder's vision, you do not have to like it but the argument based on "this is different from usual" is moronic.

I don't give a shit about DC and Marvel. I don't like superhero movies in general but I admit I dislike Marvel movies in particular. I do not read comics. And MoS like BvS are flawed and not good movies.
That being said, the amount of hatred against these movies (the DC fanboys are also crazy and delusional) is weird

Batman killed a lot of people in the Tim Burton's movie. Batman killed a lot of people in the early era comics. And anyway, it's Snyder's interpretation of the character and if he feels that Batman would kill, that's his right. By the way, Superman also killed Zod and his friends in Superman 2.
