The fact that women were seen as inferior and are still seen as inferior in many parts of the world has nothing to do with the "gender" concept and its ideology.

5) If as everybody says LF is going to take her to the Boltons, there is no need for the secrecy of the books (but I would like to know how Cersei would react when learning that as she thinks she was an accomplice in her son's murder).

It has nothing to do with gender because "gender" is a very modern and politically charged concept that means nothing outside of the 21h century USA, and certainly nothing in Westeros.

Once again: bad movie and not really ambitious in comparison to real good movies (meaning movies that usually do not include super heroes), but yes more ambitious than Marvel movies whose sole aim is to be "fun", and by fun they mean - a movie that a 6 years old would love. I have nothing against 6 years old, I have

I never said that MoS was mature and realistic, just that it was more ambitious. And 13 years old is still better than the 8 years old level of Marvel movies.

MoS was indeed bad, the Marvel movies are not horrible movies, they are just utterly stupid and aimed at 8 years old.

Just saw Guardians - I can't understand the hype. The movie was so banal and vapid, like I saw it already 1000 times. Of course the script made almost no sense, the characters made no sense, nothing made any sense, but, "it was fun". You are insulting Firefly (and I am not a great fan neither but I like it).

I am the only one who think that MoS, while being a bad movie, was so much better than all the Marvel infantile garbage, because at least it had some ambition. I like this trailer.

The first half of the first season was very good. The rest much less. But Maslany is indeed exceptional.

None of season 3 writers but Lindelof and Cuse were in season 1.

i must admit this episode did not work for me. I was mostly bored.

OK, and what about China ? The Mongols ? Persia ? The Arabs who invaded half the world ? And so on.

Daenerys is not trying to do "nation-building" here but rule. And no need to wait for Iraq and Afghanistan, foreign countries ruling others has been a feature of history since its beginning, the westerners invented nothing. Greece and Rome did the same and in a much more cruel and purely imperialist way.

AM I the only one who thought of the "hatch" - buried underground with a guy and a computer inside ?

No episode of season 6 is as bad as SiaSL even the Temple ones. And this season has a lot a excellent episodes, including the finale.

"Expose" was great and fun.

Across the Sea is one of my favorite episodes of season 6;

Easter is a Christian appropriation of Passover, transforming its meaning from the liberation of the Israelites from Egypt to some thing about Jesus, a pattern the Christians used for all their interpretation of the "Old Testament".
And since Passover has nothing to do with spring celebrations, neither does Easter.

Eloise had Faraday's journal, she knew that Desmond was important and had to go to the island so she just made sure he did. Of course, how did she know that this particular moment was the key to his decision to go to the island ? No idea.

Amazing essay, it's the one we have been waiting all these years and now I would really like to have one of the writers of season 3-6 do the same thing - when did they come up with Jacob, what was the original plan (obviously very different from what happened in season 6), what was the original idea of the flash
