That was what I thought. At some point I want to rewatch the first episode to see if they hint at whether Renata is opposed to the play because of a personal grudge agianst Madeline.

Maybe. After the events of the first episode, yes. But to the extent that Renata opposed the play before the show picks up, I didn't see obvious evidence that her opposition was a dig at Madeline. I could be wrong though.

Agreed. When I first saw the ads for it on HBO, I rolled my eyes. However, I was curious because the cast was so impressive. Now, I am in love with this show and I am so sad that it is a one-off. These ladies need to transition out of movies, which are so terrible now-a-days, into TV, where the real high value

I don't buy the play drama either. For the same reasons you mentioned, but I also don't understand Renata's objection. She works in one of the most progressive industries, in one of the most progressive towns, in one of the most progressive states. It seems unlikely she would oppose it, unless it was to take a

They've explored it a bit with the Bendu episodes, but his ability is just uneven. But that seems to have always been the case in Star Wars. I guarantee you that he will do something simple in an upcoming episode and it will appear to be very difficult for him. It seems that the Force is a very powerful plot device

Kanan seemed conspicuously wise and confident in his abilities this episode. I know this is where they were headed with the blind thing and that his ability in the force will increase as he relies on it more. But the first half of the season he still seemed to be unsure. Whereas here, he just threw Ezra over a

If you watch Rebels Recon on Youtube, Pablo discusses the Geonosians part in the Death Star design in detail. Suggests they were responsible for almost everything except for the actual weapon. They couldn't figure out how to make the weapon work, which is why Jyn's dad was abducted.

I wish they would do more multi-part episodes. I find the 23 minutes episodes to be too short. I liked how in Clone Wars there would be 2 - 4 part arcs. It allowed for a much better focusing on plot points. Now I don't think the Geonosis two-parter was particularly necessary, but I think some of the other episodes
