They definitely didn't show him toss it back down on the ground before he leaped onto the hanging zombie, yet there it was a couple of minutes later. Maybe one of Negan's bullets knocked it down?

The part where Negan's people were herding our guys into the confrontation zone with eerie whistles and blocked roads was pretty good as I recall. Worth checking out.

Yes, this. It's not like I'd forgotten who these characters were or what was driving them, but 6 months is a long time. I remember that S6 finale being really tense and exciting, and it probably would have worked great to watch this directly after that.

The World War Z film was such a missed opportunity.

Also, how many of those randos in Negan's crew must be plotting to murder him too? You have to figure, if every group Negan encounters gets basically the same intro - one friend/fam bludgeoned to death from the jump - then there's going to be a fair amount of resentment simmering.

Ok, I loved it but two things:

Don't forget them busting through the gate at the hotel and leaving it hanging open when they left. I really wanted to see zombies start shuffling in immediately.
