It's not a wash, it's problem is it was promoted as a comedy. Watch it, it's a very good film, just know it's a drama with some comedic moments instead of an outright comedy.

I feel the same way, it's a real effort now. And the characters are so pigeon holed too, every episode Jared reveals another sad childhood memory, Richard has another inferiority attack, Gilfoyle and Dinesh have another argument.

Well if Erich's not going to appear anymore, Pied Piper clearly has to move, or Jian-Yang buys the house and that maintains the status quo. I still feel cheated. I would have loved to have seen Erlich with some success behind him, imagine the cranial swelling SV would have to endure when one of his investments

The film has been really badly misunderstood and the blame for that lies with it's trailer, which firmly suggested it was going to be a comedy. Pitt's performance (essentially Aldo Rain in a modern setting) further confounds it.

I love(d) this show, but this season has been really weak. You get the sense the production team are bored with it and the perpetual arrested development of the company is so tiresome now.
