I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but I like the nod to 2001 A Space Odyssey, when Michael sees Cutler and Lou in the computer room speaking. You can't hear what they're saying, but he scans their lips moving just like old HAL 9000, everybody's favorite paranoid computer.
