Having labored through a second viewing:
    1. Watching Collin Ferrell lumber around with a mild wince actually gave me sympathy pains… the way he half squats from the knees to put down and pick up his coffee was one example… well done
    2. They are REALLY over doing the whole "wheels of confusion spinning in my head" thing

Not a lot… Only the ones in uniform I guess… seriously?

Not bad so far… I just found out it's a comedy though… seems more like a light drama to me. The Mom story line is stupid as hell…

    with a jolly rancher shank…

" What about Caputo? " well, he's a born loser's born loser… a well intentioned door mat if you will… very, very on the nose with the flashbacks… a little nuance would have served the character well… This seemed laughable how stupid he is, was, has been.

Stan… is a guy we were supposed to be taking note of in the first 2 episodes… I suppose…

"if it weren't for some goodwill left over from season one. " I would not have started watching… and would be stopping now. But I expect it to come together specifically because of season 1. The actors are not solely the problem, the material is also an issue. The characters were very intriguing… the acting was on

I think your assessment is correct… Frank has been blind sided by
A/ the fact "good guys" do not play any cleaner than "bad guys"
    and
B/ The fact that "bad guys" see his attempt to go legit as "going soft".

the whole vs the sum of the parts…

Kitsch back story - Don't care
McAdams back story - struggling to care
Ferrell back story - Caring less and less
    going forward…
    Who shot Velcoro?
Who is slowly trying to mess with Frank?
Vaughn is getting better as his character comes unhinged
It is certainly picking up as more of the "case" story comes together and

That's who I was thinking… Maybe he is not so much on the "let's go legit" wagon… and sees weakness?!? but it has to be somebody "inside"… I figure.

    Toronto Canada… STAND UP!

I noticed there was an overhead shot of the highway that stood out… wide straight lanes… like the story "opening up" leading to the "in the car scene" with McAdams and the Kitsch.. I only say this because I have been critical of the overuse of the overhead cams as they all look the same to me… but this was different…

Vince Vaghn acting impotent was a nice change from Vince Vaughn Impotent acting… No?

Not sure where it's from… The Brits are certainly likely candidates… I'm a Canuck myself…

Well, Vince Vaughn was much better in this one… I will see it through because it is getting better each episode, but it is not great… bit of a dogs breakfast actually

essentially "entourage" would be a show about Vernon and his extended "family"… here that lifestyle will play a role in one arc, it's not the meat and potatoes of the show…

"What are they trying to get at…"

Nah, man… she was crushed when she realized… for sure. After all the chat she just gave… I will give you the whole destiny thing, and her "believing" that this has been "in her" all along… but she can not, in any way, be happy about that.. It's clearly ironic and while it represents a chance to "start fresh"… she sees

Haha… it's that 58 minutes of on the fence not quite good enough to keep me watchi… Wait… What?? Holy F***!!! What's gonna happen in the next 58 minutes of on the fence not quite good enou… you get it. I NEED to know. Awesome feeling right?!?!?1… ;-P
