You are saying people should boycott an entire company because of one of their products. You are trying to silence him by threatening the company is how I read it. If you frame it differently, no problem.

I was responding to a post that said we should boycott a publishing company because they're putting out a book you don't like. That is intolerant, in my opinion.

How about just letting people have different opinions about things, and defeating their ideas rather than trying to silence them or trash them personally? If you think all intolerance is coming from the right - look in the mirror.

I don't know what you're talking about, yet I have an overwhelming suspicion that you misstated what happened. I am absolutely positive - again, knowing little about anyone involved - that he didn't encourage anyone to make real death threats toward anyone.

I've actually never been there. Weird comment - why would you say that? I'm a democrat. In fact, I said above exactly that he *doesn't* have unique insight, just interesting. Maybe slow down a bit here? Or not, carry on, whatever works for you, but at least try to communicate honestly.
