You can look at it like this……the entire labor market stands around a filthy toilet. The store manager points to the toilet and asks who will clean it and others like it for $1/hour. Nobody moves. He offers $2, nobody moves. Its a crappy job. Somewhere around $12/hour he will probably start to get some takers.
    Now

I'm not saying anyone is a bad guy. Everyone is working in their own self-interest…….including all the people being called bigots and racists. Companies will exploit available labor - the point is to have functional borders and system where we can allow as many immigrants as want, and keep out as many as we don't

Liberals have the working class backs as long as the topic is limited to stagnant wages relative to exploding CEO pay.
But take a few minutes to figure out why wages are stagnant and profits are ever-higher - in large part due to the availability of a desperate pool of labor that will work for below-market rates - and

You don't want to think about this sort of thing…..cavalry were the jewel of these medieval armies. You just waste them like that? It was beyond stupid…..I had to put my brain into emergency shutdown mode throughout that battle to avoid just turning the show off.

The long shot initially following Jon through the battle was brilliant, not sure I've seen anything done close to that well before.
The rest of the battle was a cartoonish joke, ranging between silly and incomprehensible.

It is one of the best lines ever fwiw.

This site is a bunch of rabid dogs when it comes to stories like this, the best you can do is take it in the spirit of amusement.

I wonder if its possible she isn't such a bad person in the rest of her endeavors.

Up is down. Black is white.

I'm hoping we can figure out some way to criminalize unpopular opinions. Its absolutely unacceptable that people have different perspectives on things, or have ideas that I find unpleasant.

It would be awesome if they would post a twin story about Wilson Phillips or something right now….that comment section would be all about destroying people who make fat jokes.

I enjoy how many people sit around on a thread like this just waiting to pounce on anyone who remarks on any racial aspects of this situation…..as if its entirely incidental.
You hear there are gunshots and dead at a concert, I'll give you one guess which genre it was - I bet 95% of us get it in one guess. Now back

Now throw in employer taxes, workers comp, benefits, etc.
And the robot is putting in what…120 hour work weeks?

Yes, I understand the dynamics. Thanks for the link.

How much dogshit do you think it would take to add up to $300 million?

The guy said the never, ever cut high-level executive pay. It took 10 seconds to find a round of executive layoffs from less than a year ago. You can quibble with the details.

    I don't know man.

I'd be wary of these words like "never", like above. I'm sure it happens. CEOs get to vote on company policy, cashiers do not, which would probably explain the imbalance.

"McDonald's is laying off about 225 employees, including 135 at its corporate headquarters in Oak Brook, as part of a corporate reorganization that aims to cut costs by $300 million by the end of 2017."
