The Leftovers was my absolute favourite tv show of last year, Episodes like Two boats and a helicopter, Guest and the Garveys at their best completely blew me away and the season 1 finale The prodigal son returns was one of my favourite episode's of television.

I'm such a sucker for Halloween themed episodes, both shows were great but I agree with you that the middle had the edge
