I think you're misinterpreting what Matt means by 'her ride' :)

It definitely looks like the Lysa arc is coming to its end, but to be fair, I can't think of anything else in book 3 with her character that needs to be given screen time.

I really enjoyed the whole 'courtroom' scene! Knowing what's coming, I was fascinated to watch how Martell would play the scene and loved what I saw. I actually think the scene could have been spread out over two episodes with some Tyrion time in-between, just to really drive home the impact on his psyche. Either

As heavy-handed as Lysa's exposition was, I thought it was better than them sexpositioning the backstory that night and having her scream out, "Make me scream like my dead husband who you had me poison and then blame the Lannisters used to!"

So - Tyrion convincing (or at least planting the seed of the idea) Pod to leave King's Landing. I'm assuming we'll see him group up with Brienne when she leaves (possibly Jamie introduces the two of them once he gets an idea of Pod's worth) as opposed to randomly running into her on the road. Not that I care either

Oh, and my son, the future king, I'll give him kittens and keep him near knights who won't try to give him confidence and a sense of self-worth.

And don't forget all of the prophesied stuff from her childhood and the witch-woman… Which I kind of hope stays in the books and isn't drawn out in some awkward, drunken, sexposition scene at some point next season.

Regarding the observation of Margaery's sense of place and how that fits into the grander view of women on the show, I think it is important to point out how incredible of a character Olenna has become. She has certainly far exceeded the book character and is every bit as powerful as any of the men - although I kind

Yeah, that didn't come across very well - and I think it also sends one of those strange, mixed messages that 'rape is okay if she ends up going with it in the end'. Maybe I'm reading too much into that. For what it's worth, I thought it was consensual, but I was seeing that scene through the lens of a book-reader

It's kind of strange because I'm not sure if I love or hate his books, but I do want to read the next Patrick Rothfuss sooner rather than later.

I hope there's still time to add a McBain figure with (do nothing) goggles.
