I find it hilarious that the reviewer comments on how slowly the plot developed this season and then, two paragraphs later, complained about not seeing the minute details of Varys' travels to Meereen.

That one was good - but the Fire and Blood Red Ale didn't work for me.

Tormund vs Jamie?

Castle (Black).

I can't wait to see where the headhunters try to land him. So many possibilities…

"It’s played for the grotesque, because it’s a scene about spectacle rather than character."

Just wait until Ian McShane shows up!

Yeah, but 7 or 8 (the fuck if I remember how many) very one-dimensional snakes > one excellent actor because gratuitous violence!

Is it… is it okay if I like both movies?

Because it's dull, you TWIT, it'll hurt more.

I don't know if that's necessarily proven yet - it certainly looks that way based on the editing of the trailer, but it could be one of the other crewmember's family (one of them had one - can't remember which)

The hype of a book is hardly the fault of the book!

A certain degree of suspension of disbelief is required for just about any movie or book - dropping it so quickly when it gets so much right and is such a champion for science in general is kind of hasty, in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure he calls himself a nerd about a dozen times in the book!

One of my biggest concerns is that they try to shoehorn the romance to be between Watney and Johanssen.

I had almost the exact same experience. I hit that line while sitting in the middle seat of a cross-country flight. I'm pretty sure the gentlemen on either side of me thought there was something seriously wrong and potentially contagious about me.

I agree to an extent. I get that it fits from a 'consistent world / artistic' point of view, but I hate and don't fully understand the narrative that it's constructing.

Great point - I actually missed the 'previous on', but I do remember that scene now that you mention it. I think there is some very interesting parallels there.

I'll do my best, but I fear many of them are beyond approach.

It was still rape, I wouldn't expect sounds of pleasure.
