The humour felt all over the place and I don't think it was bad, but that awkward kiss scene in the control room felt like it was from some different more self-aware parody of disaster films, which could've been pretty great if the whole film had been made like that.

I figured something was up pretty early on because the flashforward scenes were just so vague and drawn out and more focused on Jack going off the rails than telling a hidden story like the flashbacks had done. It feels very HBOish in my mind when I think about it.
