Indeed.
Great idea, bad execution.
90s comedy movie in a nutshell.

I Love You Philipp Morris was a really good movie.
It was so great to see Carrey coming back to ambitious roles…
That's also why I was actually expecting something good from Will Smith's Focus.
Because those 2 directors really knew how to tell a funny and unexpected love story the first time.

Well… those two movies were comedy-dramas.
Eternal Sunshine was a drama.

But I would really love to see him in great movies again.
The Truman Show / Man on the Moon level.

They just have to find a (hot) girl next door from TV to play Bruce's girlfriend, and they're ready to go.

Except that in that case, Julianna Marguiles is the real showrunner.

CBS, if you really care about the show, please cancel it.
Since two seasons, the show took "the Practice" later seasons road.

That's not a good road.

But does that rule can be applied to the movie's length…?
….
Because we're certainly going for a 187 minutes running time (post credits scene included).

The third season was indeed the best of the show : the first half, dedicated to Carter, was so well put together that it looked like it was planned since the beginning.
And the second half, the aftermath, was so good at coming back to roots with sobriety before exploding everything, that it reminded me Whedon's Angel.

Kaylee was ready to overshadow Winifred Burkle.

That's saying something.

I was more into his facial hairstyle… but well, he's a man of many talents.
Each one of them is still 10 times better than David Caruso.

The last time I watched a procedural until the last episode, only because of an actor, it was NYPD Blue, thanks to Dennis Franz.

I said "good", not "great".

Thanks for reminding the only sequel that Hollywood needs to produce.
And why wait ? Fincher wants to serialize, to work with Rooney (RIP Utopia US) and Robin Wright (RIP -good- House of Cards), and Daniel Craig needs to think about this post-Bond years.

Indeed. That's why I'm glad to learn that she got that point.
Dark Places was awful.

Dropping Scott Buck is a good start.
And glad that Charlize got the fact that Fincher was the one who made Gone Girl work, not Gillian Flynn.

I'm not sure this is still the Abramsverse…
Paramount got some problems with Orci and Kurtzman original script because it was too trekkie, and not enough action-oriented.
And then, they hired Lin.
And then, Kurtzman was put as EP ont a new Star Trek series.
So we clearly lost something, despite the Bad Robot credits.

And If they don't give something to do to Chekov and Sulu in this one, it's gonna become a real problem.
Anton Yelchin and John Cho…!
Come on.

A comedy series created by David E. Kelley that's not about lawyers, and with late 90s icons as leads..?
That's worrying.

Indeed.
I have the feeling of having always watched Joshua Jackson playing unhappy characters with bad parents.
So when he smiles, it's like watching the actor, not a character…
Weird.
