The five episodes without Danny didn't helped to make that evolution coherent.
But I'm kind of confident for the next step. This show has some of the best comedy writers on television, right now, and they have a goal now : make those two make up.

That was basically the office's third season goal.

To support Danny… I really liked the fact that he was sleeping in a black shirt.
It was a little detail that could mean that the shirt was just old and so only good for bed.
Or simply that the guy changed for his wife too… He doesn't need that Mindy gives his things to Morgan…. He can do it too.

Indeed.
And it was clearly influenced by "Interview with a vampire", that came out 3 years before Buffy's series premiere….

And I'm so glad they did'nt had enough money to make Angel and Spike leave becoming bats.

She was not the showrunner, just, certainly, one of the best writers on the show's fourth first seasons.
In a way, she was Clyde Phillips's Tim Minear.

The season 2 finale ! The show really found its tone, at this point.
I really hope, that one day, you'll have a "Bored to Death, the Movie" anecdote.

Blunt Talk is not enough.

Curb made me think that Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen were the best Hollywood couple ever.

I don't know if that's right, but I love the idea.
Take that, Brangelina.

Well, this is in fact Judd Apatow reacting to some criticism.
After producing women - Dunham, Schumer -, he's taking care of minorities.
At one point, we'll forget he started with overheight white stoners.

Indeed.

Paget Brewster does'nt know how to look hot…
So they renounce so quickly to realism ?

I think this is just this season's arc (next week, we got the season finale, sort of).
Kaling learnt with Greg Daniels on the Office how to deal with a strong romantic relationship, and how make drama a huge part of it, even in a sitcom.
Now, I'm just rooting for Season 4, Part 2 (sort of).

Indeed.
And for people who have a good ear, Rachel Bloom's voice is superb. This little broken thing in her intonation when she talks…
I'm waiting for her inevitable voiceover on an upcoming Pixar movie.

Totally agree.
CBS should really let the Kings conclude the show…
They're starting to commit missteps that tarnish the show's legacy.
The sixth season had its flaws, but not in those proportions.

McQuarrie does'nt have a distinctive style, unlike his predecessors… So he could deliver a quite different movie this time.
But yeah, I agree : they play the safe card, and that's not fair.
At all.

I love that sequence.
It's a lesson of filmmaking, and nobody would (could ?) do that, nowadays.

Their photographies appear briefly in one of the first scenes of the original movie (and in the trailer).
But Peter Graves and Greg Morris disavowed the adaptation at the time…
You know : too much Ethan Hunt, not enough team work.
And Phelps revealed being… hum.

The fifth one was a clever best-of.
So yeah, it was cool, but clearly lacked personality.

The first Mission Impossible is a gem.
An action scene in a white room with no sound… how completely awesome and inappropriate is that…?

This could be the "little thing" he wanted to do before helming Tintin 2…
So personally, I'm in.

I prefer watch him smashing everything as Creed, than the Human Torch.
He's way too good as a drama actor, to lose his time looking cool on blue screen.

So that's like when Whedon and Abrams went directing episodes of the Office ?
We don't really care, but they certainly get fun doing that.
