I got through half of it. It was as bleak as you imagine (the first half, anyway).
Before the redesign, I searched for a review of Stories Don't End, and it shows up in the search results, but you would get a 404 if you clicked on it. So maybe this isn't that far off. It's a vast AV Club conspiracy.
I searched this site for "Derek Trucks" and go no relevant hits, so I'm not sure the AV Club writers are the correct people to be answering this question.
Over time, I've come to agree with this sentiment. When you're 15, Jimmy Page is the greatest thing you've ever heard. Then when you grow up, you realize he's sloppy and took credit for a lot of stuff he stole. And while anyone can crap all day on Clapton's solo career, his early work is just epic. Look at all the…
I enjoyed this book, and I thought the whole world he created building up to the assassination was really fascinating, and it was a cool window into a time and place. But damn, did that ending feel abrupt. Just felt tacked on or almost brushed aside. Interesting that you say it's intended to be read as ridiculous. …
This was so fantastic. I just kept laughing harder the more I replayed the scene in my head after it happened. This show does physical comedy really well. It's just usually Chris Pratt, which made this even better.
Ummmmmmmmmm, I think there's room for both.
I did not know that was a thing, and my mind is completely blown.

True, I just don't find the characters unlikeable. They all have unlikeable qualities, but I think most are relatable on some level. Just look at Mitch, who among us hasn't wanted to appear cool to the older kids?
"It's a day in the life of completely unlikable people where nothing happens."
The correct reply would be "But what about Wooderson?"
Yeah, there's a shout-out for the cast in the article and no mention of Wiley Wiggins?? What an outrage!
Give this guy a break, he hates the Beatles too, so he must be a genius.
They named it "Susan 313" after "Common Podcast Guests" was rejected.
Well this will be a short thread. I knew he kept his fortune in gold (and buried it), but I don't remember how he had earned it all. Thanks for clearing that up.
"How Did Ron Swanson Make His Fortune" Thread
5/3/2003, State College, PA. Last show of the first leg of the Riot Act Tour. Started off as a pretty standard show, but the energy just kept building and building. A lot of weird, spontaneous stuff, like Stone playing Mankind- and they absolutely butchered Satan's Bed, but it was still amazing that they even tried!…
I loved Pearl Jam insanely from ages 18-23. Then it's liked a switch flipped for me. If their songs come up on shuffle now (I'm currently 29, oy), I'd say I skip them 97% of the time. They really do seem like a band that fits a certain time/experience of life (though when that time happens is different for…
