I must agree. This is the only time Rodrigo has had sex with someone and then behaved as if he cared about it. Even a genius eventually matures, we hope. As a character who is a total 'kid person,' he must be thinking about a family of his own. If there is one thing the writing of MITJ has made plain about

Yes, Hai-Lai is finding her true calling. I was just a tad frustrated because her initial efforts didn't display what must be a deep knowledge of music. If the character is twenty-six years old, and she's been learning the oboe since the age of five, she actually knows a great deal. And, we see of that coming out

I have watched the entire series three times. And it did, indeed, cross my mind that pregnancy, unplanned and unexpected, could been an issue in Season 4. Great care has been taken to establish Rodrigo as 'a kid person.' That has been as plain as plain can be. That kind of context and subtext has been for a reason

I agree totally. The hook up was very organic and purposeful. It was not as ambiguous in my mind, as it was to some others who posted above. Yet, the thing that makes every minute of MITJ enjoyable is the wealth of relationships in every part of the show.

Didn't Gael Garcia Bernal do a good job telegraphing Rodrigo's new emotions? He did not SAY anything. Yet, he got to work and he was still thinking about . . . . . Hai-Lai. This is new. This is different.

I could not agree more. Very well said.

Alan Izar is right. (See Above) Grandma put an end to that; she hit her grandson with a broom and called him a "devil-child."
