Now now, he does have a point about slanderous disinformation being passed around as fact. Particularly the accusation that harassed people are faking their harassment when any evidence is circumstantial at best and long debunked at worst.

A human presumably goes into a film production knowing the risks, can refuse to do dangerous stunts, and can hold the production accountable if injured because of someone else's carelessness. Movies don't need a disclaimer about humans being harmed, because if they were, then it would make news.

Wrath of Khan and its themes of aging, outrunning death, mistakes of the past, death leading to life, etc. doesn't count?

The reboot movies actually do have an explanation for why the Enterprise is the only ship around: They keep killing off most of Starfleet early in the movie to make sure that Our Heroes are the only officers left with a ship.
