This is why I can no longer watch House of Cards: with what has happened with Donald Trump and everything that's come with his administration, that show's power has been severely blunted, if not totally lost. I'm sure the show runners would agree.

Pretty much.
Besides the lawsuit, it wasn't a very good film. Made me cringe several times.
Boogie Nights is great, but Anderson has found his own voice much more now. That film is heavily, *heavily* indebted to Altman and Scorsese. Like, Diggler looking at himself in the mirror is almost a carbon copy of the parting shot of Jake LaMotta at the nightclub in Raging Bull.
I can't do music.
Is there a word in the English language for what we're witnessing with the Trump administration? That this two-bit buffoon was able to gain employment in a high government position would be deplorable, except it's obscured by like 10,000 other things that have happened since the orange blob took charge. This is bad.…
Cary Grant was a really good actor.
I gotta say though, Mr. & Mrs. Smith is actually not that bad from what I remember.
Because he's the Cary Grant of our time, and has worked with the Coens and Soderbergh, and made Michael Clayton and directed some good movies himself.
Jolie also concentrated her attention to humanitarian issues. Maybe even more so than acting.
Pitt, though, managed to work with Quentin Tarantino, Steve McQueen, and Terrence Malick, amongst others. But that's probably in part also because of the roles offered to men vs. women. Another whole can of worms.
Yeah. The celebrity circus that surrounded her probably stalled her creatively.
Changeling has its fans. Saw it on airplane once and never finished it. It's kind of an airplane movie.
Why did you give it up?
Bumpy one, but you stuck the landing.
I just checked IMDB. For an actress of her profile - she's actually good, imo - she's made a surprisingly amount of shit. Like, a *lot.*
When was the last time Jolie actually, you know, made a good movie? Seems like it's been a while.
Who has salt and pepper hair.
If true, this is just hideous stuff from Jolie and the rest of the filmmakers involved.
Humor? I get the feeling..oh oh…you ain't got any!
