It appears Westeros has a reality-transcending ability to destroy the motivation of *everyone* involved with it.

Sliders was an attempt to make an entire series out of a specific breed of special episode. Fun, but I'm still stunned it ran as long as it did.
…did they?
You will note that "then" is prior to "now", and when people don't specify, we tend to assume they are speaking about "now".
I'm gonna have to go with "one book" over "pithy dismissal".
…but I'm guessing you'd like him to stop reading history before he gets to Nixon?
Yeah, but apparently being down with date rape is required to judge what is "better" or "cool".
I actually *like* Chris Hardwick, but I absolutely did not watch the show for him.
I don't think Hardwick is quite soulless enough to be Steve Harvey.
I do not envy the guy who had to portray Fozzie in a way that neither engaged in blue material nor ignored it completely. He did a surprisingly good job, though.
I stopped watching a when Hulu dropped the show (a year ago, maybe?), and even then the subjects and especially hashtag wars were getting a wee bit forced.
I liked the movie, but I think that last shot was super cheap. Unclear endings are like catnip for movie buffs, so giving them something to endlessly debate in lieu of ending your story is just pandering.
I got introduced to the wonderful world of male nipple pain during High school football two-a-days. One guy had electrical tape over his nipples when we first suited up, and everyone laughed at him - four hours later, he got to laugh at all of us. Evolution needs to sort it's sh*t, man.
My favorite scene in the movie by far. A guy trying to be Tyler Durden, played by the guy who *was* Tyler Durden, failing hilariously at channeling Tyler Durden.
As bands age and young people have comparatively less and less money, I anticipate we'll see more shows starting early enough for folks to be home and unconscious by midnight.
I'm down to…less than 2 months according to this. Still think I was too old for it 10 years ago.
Get married wherever you want, man.
Wiseau clearly aspired to make something that was just an extended soap opera. Those can be quite entertaining when good, sometimes even when bad, but rarely are they done so *wrong*. You're spot on with your description - the movie is dealing with themes so universal that it's mind-boggling how not merely bad but…
I'll also vouch for the full Rifftrax version, Live for preference. You'll still need to monkey with synching it, though; Wiseau was game enough to let them do a live version, but ass enough to not let them sell the full audio/video package afterward.
A lot of what sets The Room apart from similar films (like, say, Birdemic) is that the production values are generally pretty good. It's just a talking heads film for the most part, but with a few exceptions it looks (emphasis *looks*) like any AAA talking-heads movie - which makes the awful writing/acting/set…
