Phil's storyline would always be offensive, but watching it on day two of PTSD-induced depression really brought home how deep this show will sink. Fuck you, Modern Family. That's it for me.

I find it hard to believe that Vanessa and the orderly would understand each other - the hint of working-class accent he has seems like a jarring anachronism. He'd have a full-blown accent of several layers of society below Vanessa's. While the show does acknowledge the social injustices of the time, this seems like a…
Why is Jay double-clicking on a tablet? Also why is he even using one if he's so inept with them? That's one storyline that's completely BS.
I'm betting on suicide.
"Good and evil braided be" is a fairly obscure quote from Melville. Google Books says so.
So Sheldon's mother is there but Penny's living parents and brother are not. That makes sense.
I can't wait for Catherine's movie.
That was great. The agent really nailed that delivery.
Yeah, the detective telling Asher that if he's not happy it's his fault, that was rich. She's so poorly written, though, that I can't even dislike her, because there's very little to her. Which is sad, as she's one of the main protagonists and the only black one. Why are the white characters so much better written on…
I wonder if Alex could get a storyline if she died. Probably not, though.
I don't get how Jessa and Adam are so widely considered to be doing something wrong. It's not like Hannah was in a relationship with him - is he just expected to be off-limits to everyone Hannah knows because they used to date? That's ridiculous. It's not on the level that Elijah and Marnie's almost-sex making Hannah…
Yeah, that makes sense.
If only Howard "helped out" more? I'm sorry, is this the fifties?
Everything else that has happened to her on the show makes me think she's not smart. I don't know about the inviting the class home thing, since I'm not from the US, but I think that she goes to a state university, so still weird.
It was hard for me to believe that Sue (in her hormone-crazed state, no less) was able to discuss Russian politics off the cuff. She's not that smart. Also, what was wrong with the professor? Inviting your class to come to your home to discuss Stalinism is just plain weird.
Fran is a really toxic, passive-aggressive asshole. Hannah is horrible, but there is literally no reason as to why would anyone want to be with Fran without punching him in the face every five minutes.
Brick is so inconsequential to Frankie that she doesn't even care what new problem he has. I really wish they'd go the realistic way where Brick is concerned, and show the inevitable fallout of the non-parenting Frankie and Mike are practicing. So far they've managed to not completely fuck up Sue and Axl. They're not…
This show is well past its expiration date. They failed to find characters to fill the essentially tapped out roles of the kids (neither Lily or Joe are actual characters), and the adults don't grow or change that much, which leads to stale plotlines. Also I don't care about Andy and Haley, and their relationship…
This makes my brain hurt. I think I will dream about dog-bagels tonight.
Marnie never fails to grow more obnoxious. Her pronunciation of "Ecuador" was so on point concerning the character. And of course Desi is showering naked in the background, broadcasting his dick across the world.
