I love Veep, tremendously, and on same levels it may be an all-around better television program, but Silicon Valley seems to resonate more with my personal sense of humor

I can't think of a more consistently funny show on TV. Maybe Inside Amy Schumer? I'd say this is far and away the funniest "sitcom," which seems like a kind of reductive way to describe this show. It makes me laugh harder and longer (insert dick joke here) than any other show in recent memory.

You honestly might need to recalibrate your TV (that's assuming you have and HDTV, because if you're watching it on your computer or a mobile device, you're doing it wrong). People can say whatever they want to about the show's acting, directing, writing, etc, but I'd argue the production values are pretty damn good.

Valid perspective. Made me think about the record a bit more critically. I just can't get enough of really good female country rockers, like Nikki Lane and Lindi Ortega. We need more!

This was one of the funniest episodes of television I've ever seen. I've never laughed so hard and so consistently. God, I love this show.

TJ Miller was slightly annoying at first, but as he's become more fleshed-out, he's fucking hilarious.

The record's actually fantastic. Listening to it again now.

Whoa, that entire tangential paragraph knocking "Community" was rather unwarranted and kind of catty. Sounds like you just had a bone to pick

Also, their logos weren't prominently displayed at any point. I don't even remember a beverage on his desk, which would obviously provide the highest logo visibility.

This episode was so consistently funny from start to finish; I absolutely loved it. Please, people, watch this show! Do not let it go the way of Ladies Man!

Are you trying to say that only white males are good at acting? That's a tired trope.

I was wondering the same thing

He's featured prominently on one of them, with another being a silhouette. Season three I'd argue that Idris Elba is featured more prominently. Season 4 has Julito McCullum featured most prominently, and no one is featured prominently on the season 5 cover.

I agree. Her criticisms are just as tired as the white male antihero tropes that she's grown bored of. I don't mean to say it's not a valid criticism, but she keeps beating the same drum, with not much else to say…

Were the performances "unexpectedly brilliant" or were they "adequate"? Those aren't synonyms…

Does anyone else think it's not "so obvious" Chilton is dead? I thought the bullet hole in the cheek was a pretty clear indication that he at least might be alive…

I don't think it's so sure he's dead…

I'm curious, what do you all think is Hannibal's perspective on his own life? I thought about this when Will was pointing the gun at him. Do you think he was afraid? Does he enjoy lie, does he like it, does he want to hold onto it? Or could he not care less about his own life? Is he bored by it, and he's doing

YES. They found this tone that seems so difficult to nail down. He's an asshole on the precipice of irredeemability, but then he'll do something that we empathize with as an audience

I'm in awe of all the performances, as always. Each actor and actress sells their material so well; it could easily come off as goofy and hokey, but it's almost always chilling and disturbing.
