Well and the tab instead of the ruler indent also should have gone out with the invention of word processing—though I still saw people doing it all through the 90s.

I just associate it with an uncool 15 year old who's going through his Shakespeare phase. Like the Krumholtz character in 10 Things I Hate About You. Shorthand for "Richard is still 15 years old."

I think they did a good job, cause I gathered all this without having coded. But when are spaces/tabs used to begin with? At the beginning of each line? (I'm just hooli-ing images of code to get an idea.)
