Well, I would believe that if those arguments didn't come with the caveat of, "I don't want to use my tax dollars to help those people!" I would also respect those arguments if there isn't countless hours of reading and viewing on conservative media outlets that show that they do indeed, hate the poor.

Are you asking because you want to know, or because you want to deny?

Every conservative I've had a lengthy discussion with online talks about black people as though every one of them were either too lazy to get out of poverty, or hardened criminals.

They do exist in overwhelming numbers. All evidence shows that way, too. Bills proposed by legislative bodies, polls, talk radio, conservative websites, and least of all the many conservatives I've known over the years talk about not being wealthy or not being white as a moral failing.

I have a problem believing that people who complain about the wages of teachers, who cut funding for veterans to receive help, who cut the EITC while cutting the estate tax, and basically do all they can to shit on anyone who isn't wealthy to be decent people.
