correct. Disney is aware that park guests spend the least amount of time (and money) at Animal Kingdom. Avatarland seems late to the party, but this is their attempt to correct that.

I'll throw down anytime for KABOOM. Once it reached a certain speed, it was all Zen.

his being heckled by Statler & Waldorf on The Muppet Show was brilliant. But then, only S&W had the best lines. Berle: "You guys come down here and be funny!" Waldorf:"YOU FIRST!"

As a kid (full disclosure: I'm 45) I taped Blazing Saddles off CBS Sunday Night movies (around 1983). All the curses and fart jokes were pulled, but all the racial epithets were KEPT! It's shocking thinking about that today.

Pepe's in CT is awesome, Surprising chicago-style find in Hollywood, FL (on the intercoastal) is Flicker Lite.

There was one in Harrisonburg, VA by JMU years ago. 2x/ week was about right. Got me thru college.

this is inside baseball, but Paramount is a complete mess right now, between a cold streak at the box office ("Arrival" notwithstanding), weak release slate for 2017, and the overall Viacom boardroom drama. They're hunkering down, and spending little as possible until they figure out a plan forward.

True. But legit missing is Gene Simmons' star-turn as the Big Bad in Tom Selleck vehicle Runaway

Happy to pay. Real, thoughtful reporting, news and analysis written by non-idiots and/or true attempts at impartiality takes time and money. Now we need it more than ever.

great for a sandwich - you can only go so far with one, IMHO.

Must disagree re: Tom. His Craft empire restaurants are on my work block in NYC, and they're fantastic. Even his takeout sandwich place ('wichcraft) is inspired.

Not noted here are how certain synths/sounds were dominant for years, due to hot trends or parts of proven, earlier hits. Exhibit A: the "tinny chime" sound of the Yamaha DX-7 (the first all-digital synth). it's on EVERYTHING in the early-mid 80s.

With Paramount's 2016 release slate, I'm not sure how much taxes there were in the first place. pretty grim.

This is a pre-destined flop from Paramount. Last fall they took a $115MM hit on their earnings in advance of the release! http://screencrush.com/para…

Homer: Is Ass and Poo taken?

I thought the same thing. It's curently on a slow-rollout "arthouse" screen strategy, largely to see if it justifies a national promo push, etc. It clearly does/has, but timing seems off for a 5 minute homage that's not in many markets yet.

CHICKEN TETRAZINI would like to have a word with you

This was a great take on her overall career. The pressure to replicate the Fugees/ Miseduction 1-2 punch was clearly overbearing and beyond her abilities on her own, and she's never recovered. Don't underestimate the PR-power of a major label to sand off the edges/crazy (also see: Whitney Houston). As noted here, in

no kidding! Whenever I drive by one, it's all particleboard - sawdust and glue! rarely real plywood.

Not trying to humblebrag, but when I saw Hamilton last fall, right after it opened on Broadway, I walked in only reading the Chernow book, and didn't know a lick of the music. It was so lyrically/musically dense (like drinking from a firehose), I simply couldnt keep up with the wordplay AND the music/arrangements.
