I think Third Eye Blind are decent. Also, Fush You Mang is a good title, if not album.

Agreed. Dude's voice grates.
I love Bandwagonesgue. Listened to a little of Gibbard's version, but I guess I'm too into the original version; it didn't work for me.
I revisited Figure 8, XO, Either Or and From a Basement On the Hill this week and they hold up really well. It's all so relative, but Smith is my favorite songwriter of the past 20 years hands down.
Looking forward to this War On Drugs album. Also, I heard the new Beck album, Colors, comes out in October.
I put on Ornette Coleman's The Shape of Jazz to Come, and I gotta say I dug it. I'm a little hesitant to listen to his later stuff though.
It's my fave of his. I'm also mad about Audrey and Green Collard Beans and Black Eyed Peas (I think that's what it's called.) But basically anything he did was gospel.
If we're talkin jazz, y'all gotta check out Phineas Newborn Jr. His solo on Celia is a mind blower.
I love that little solo on Africa.
Yes, dude.
I love me some Bud. How about Reets 'n I?
Does 'Prelude' by Billy Joel count? No chance it was improvised, but wow is it good yo.
Suoerchunk are on my bucket list; never seen them live.
His lyrics are great, and it doesn't hurt that he has Jon Wurster backing him up on those albums.
"Mould is on my Mt Rushmore, and his music has had an incalculable effect on me."
I'm seeing Elvis Costello for the 6th time next week. I've also seen the Sea and Cake 6 times.
Cool man, I'll check'em out. Thanks!
Got them in my playlist for this Saturday's BBQ, along with some old school college rock.
I'm you in 20 years re-discovering how good music was in your youth.
Bully, Yuck, Surfer Blood, Cloud Nothings, Beach Slang, Speedy Ortiz.
