I'm gonna agree with you that racism is racism, no matter who it's coming from. I will qualify that white racism is more problematic, because they have more power and are more frequently in a position to wield that power in a racially biased way.

Plus, if we are to accept this as a confession, then it still contradicts Taylor's version of events which is that he was drugged and unable to say yes or no. So I would lean heavily towards it being just a confusing abbreviation of the story he already told the police.
